Unmarked back road bridges, weight and clearance should always be marked.
Surprised how many hotels do not have clearance signs over the covered entrance. An easy 35 years ago I awoke at my hotel in Carpinteria Ca. To what sounded like thunder and felt like an earthquake. A family had just purchased a brand new camper and dad gave them a permanent moon and rain roof. They let the air out of the tires to get it unstuck and destroyed all 4 tires.
In that instance, I do not think a clearance sign would have mattered.

We watched a guy launch a 32 foot SeaRay into Clear Lake, (a little brackish side piece of Galveston Bay), and turn it straight out into the lake, in spite of a couple of hundred people screaming at him. There's a granite breakwater just below the surface that protects the boat ramp. Warning signs every 50 feet. He got most of the way over it with the top half. In today's dollars, it would be over $225k. Lots of grown men cried that day.

Yep when I was hotshotting I saw many stupid things, good maps were my bible. There are actually special motor home GPS map programs with clearances and weight limits. Of course you have to actually use them. And if you don't know the clearance, don't do it.

Watching the Silver Tigers vs Guardians game. What a battle! It's the bottom of the fourth and the game is tied seven each.

Got the yearly supplemental check from the Teamsters.
If the fund is exceedingly well funded, the overage requires a disbursement to the retirees. This only applies to the 11 western states, the central and Eastern states are sucking the hind teat, thanks to greasy politicians and their gangster buddies. So far we have been on a yearly roll.
40 premium cigars for me and my brother the retired Marine at the family reunion…. Buying locally at Hiland’s cigars.

I have watched a couple of videos of that underpass. 2 or 3 crashes a day, 24/7/365. Plenty of warning signs. For some reason the yellow paint on the top doesn't last.

I spent about 4 hours working in the shop on things I actually wanted to work on yesterday and a couple more today. I don't think that that kind of thing counts against your time on the planet. Weeding, mowing, spraying, painting, plumbing etc counts double.

We did the Phillies a solid by sweeping the Braves. And sweeping Atlanta is no small task. It came most unexpected. I think their pitching injuries may be catching up with them. But, then, who doesn't have a crapload of pitching injuries at this point? We certainly do.

Back to heating with the wood stove. Cold here and very windy. There was snow in the forecast but with this wind I doubt we will see any.
