OGS in the Diplomat. Haven't had much time for pipes this week....Same here brother. Windy and cold up in the Navajo Nation, hotels do not allow smoking. Funny...you can get a "pet friendly" hotel room where travelling with dogs is allowed, but human rights are disallowed! I would be fine to accept a pet friendly room that I was allowed to smoke in, but not gonna happen. #making up for lost smoking time!

John, you look like you run a kennel with a lot of dogs in the stable, albeit a lot of purebreds.

Wilke 191 in a Mark Tinsky. I'm not much of an aromatic smoker, but this is a surprisingly pleasant tobacco....

Started the evening with a Newminster 400 flake and was planning to move on to St. Bernard, but I couldn't stop thinking about Mac Baren HH Latakia Flake, so one is burning now in an unbranded 1960's Austrian calabash, with some Ezra Brooks to chase it.

Trout Stream, with about 1/4 bowl of Sutliff's Dark Burley rubbed in. I mixed this up yesterday afternoon and let it dry in the spill tray. Last night I filled the pipe for a Sunday starter. I like this blend, as is, but my thought was to tone down the candy-like sweetness and retain the smooth nugget flavor. I can't say if it's the burley, the dry time, or just all in my head, but this does seem less sharp and more in tune with my morning coffee than my usual morning T.S.
That my Sunday experiment, Carry on.

Hope happy Sunday to all. Earlier, full walks, no-band 5x50 for company. Will do usual Sunday brunch eventually. The boys are here, had to help with even more sorting, the nightmare continues. Do have a Ser Jac Maxima 1/8 bent bulldog loaded, with get to same eventually.
40, max of 44, now light/steady rain.

Happy Sunday, all. Yesterday was a busy day. Daughter and son-in-law are in town, sister/brother-in-law and son/GF were all over last night. Enjoyed some pipes, dinner and company with each other. Today, I started with Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee. Reloaded with more HB.

Agree about the darkening. That's why I always try to remember to snag the pics off the web site when I buy a pipe. Baby pictures.
