taking an "old man's" break from working with "the boys. She had books I never knew about. Aparently Goodwill will take 'em as the library won't (Covid rules). Offered use of truck for couple loads but they declined. Seems neither one knew how to actully DRIVE it, only vehicle you aimed it with machine that changes the gears! Sheesh!
Tea at desk, Apertif in LaughingBacchus meer in smoking room. Nap soon, then to sups.

Tea at desk, Apertif in LaughingBacchus meer in smoking room. Nap soon, then to sups. I learned to drive a standard trans, and my first several cars were standard. I could speed-shift a 3onTree very well. But driving in Houston traffic was extremely hard on my left leg with a heavy clutch in my pickup. So I accepted the automatic, especially after I broke my right leg and had to do everything with my left. The new 8 and 10 speed transmissions can do everything better than I can for sure.

Finished some Big 'n' Burley a bit ago in a Mark Twain cob. Eating some chiken tikka masala for dinner and placed an order a bit ago for 34 more varieties of tomatoes I didn't have. I couldn't find more than the first Livingston Paragon tomato this season, could have sworn Seed Savers had the Globe and golden Queen's.
After dinner it's going to be some 2016 Haunted Bookshop in the same Mark Twain, up first.
