Partway through a bowl of MM965 in my Johs bent Brandy. Had a great afternoon attending the dedication of the new world class pipe organ at the Michigan State Univ. Alumni Memorial Chapel. A world famous (so I’m told) organist played a program that really showed off what the new organ can do. Our old church had a great organ and the assistant organist gave his masters recital on it. Among other pieces he played the toccatta and fugue in D. It was transcendent. The original complement was 74 ranks. 4,076 pipes. 6 divisions. 4 manuals. 49 stops. 67 registers. It's had major upgrades since then. ago-houston.org/first-united-methodist-church-houston/

The MSU organ cost $1M and is in a Chapel which seats about 150. More info: www.music.msu.edu/news/the-pipes-of-the-msu-alumni-chapel-are-calling

Last coupla weeks has been one-of-those-days...had some Stonehaven from 2015 in a WDC Hesson Guard prince...finally after many years I got some flavor from this smoke...then on to some of my usual butternut burley and some of a good friends personal blend that we call AJ's #1...a great mix of no longer available tobaccos that has matured since 2013. Smoked those last blends in a DGE lovat cob that I got from sfDuke.

I was just saying that I had an organ fetish. Bach, you know. I wasn't actually comparing.

Some hate Mondays (Garfield the comic strip character comes to mind, just 'nuther day here). Truck in for service, among others, the exhaust sounded like a wide-open Harley). Walks done, no-band 5x50 for company. After the Ed is fed, Apertif in Cavvichi C bent dublin freehand & continue with the papers. Much can be accomplished depeding on "awake" status.
38, cloudy, headed for 63, rain xpected eventually

It’s my day off on a sunny 56 degree day in the Peoples Republic of NJ. Waiting for Safelite to come and replace the windshield on my 2018 Camaro SS. Savoring my first ever bowl of Chelsea Morning in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 bent pot.

War Horse Bar in a Legend. It was not a good day here and it was capped by a Red Sox loss to Tigers. Yuck. The day started downhill when a wiper blade blew off the truck in the rain on a bridge over the Ohio River. That wasn't a good omen.
There's always tomorrow.
