Just got done working on a little cellar organization. Labeling jars and dating tins and putting them neatly away. Wife said it all had to fit in my smallish hutch. Bet she never thought I could get my pipes, pipe cleaners and 50 pounds in my hutch but I think it is going to be at that point when my next little box arrives. Às Ted said very well in above post "Thank You" to those who have served and do serve. Thank you to the families of those who gave all they had to give. May we remind our selves never to disrespect the sacrifice those most brave souls gave for us.

We had a jubilee celebration afternoon this afternoon. The members of the church did a great job in catering etc. turned out to be a great afternoon, but after 2 services and the event, I'm bust! Next week the weather might be good enough for me to have a pipe! Great sermon too! You have that green screen down! 😁 Lol. Thankfully it's not taking as long as it used to. |

Did a little more gardening today. Mostly sat on the deck in the shade and enjoyed the mid-summer weather. Needed to cool off, so went down to the workshop and worked on a couple pipes. Got cleaned up and back to the deck for a cold beer and a pipe. Our son and his GF are joining us for dinner today. Should be here soon.

$5.19 is the average around here for 87 regular…. For now.
$4.37 in Tucson, they get their fuel piped in from Texas.
PHX pipeline comes from California.

Well that was a bust. At least I got to pay a ridiculous amount for 1 xray and some antibiotics. (No dental insurance) I had 2 back molars removed 2 years ago for less than 1/2 of what they quoted me today. They refused to let me pay 1/2 up front and the other 1/2 on Friday eventhough I've been using them for years.
I'll call around and find a new dentist while the antibiotics do their thing.

The actual problem isn't all the crude, but refining capacity. The oil companies are afraid to open new or refurbish older refineries because of the uncertainty of the government controls. California hasn't allowed a new refinery in decades. Also, with an oil barrel being 30 gallons, one gallon of crude is $4 today. Not much margin in refining and selling the finished product. |
