My son is a big fan of Rand Paul. He's like government hands off everything. The political aspect of this conversation is pushing it, but I'll just say this. I will put into my body, whatever I feel like, at any moment in time. Any day. I don't give a damn about government laws attempting to control substances. I never will. Everything should be legal, we'd have a lot less idiots that way. As far as what Charlie said, there are plenty of politicians in each and every legal state pushing against edible cannabis. The censors, the teetotalers, they also die. Often much earlier! Note that I was mentioning my son's preferences, not an endorsement of Paul or anything he supports.

Let's just say that Al Capone has no lack of customers that were willing to pay for the product. Also, alcohol has been intrinsic to the human experience for as long as there has been civilization. My money's on Capone.

I never attributed that quote to him, but you need to cut him some slack. He was just in fact finding missions to benefit mankind going forward.😉 It's been attributed to many people, mostly Socretes. But it really doesn't matter. It rings true to me. Ok guys I'll come clean.....I said it.

We tried to outlaw alcohol from 1920 to 1933. The people had a different idea. Indeed. But was it people, or Al Capone? LOL Speaking of the man, I was in Hot Springs, Ar. last week on a short vacation from the sewers and learned Capone frequented the place quite often. Some fun facts up there.

I think it's a place where you have to spend several days in really get the feel of it and I've never felt like staying. It's pretty to drive through.

I have my medical marijuana card here in Florida. I have the Indica strain which works best for pain. The edibles with Indica also work better than a Setiva or hybrid.
I have had 3 back surgeries with the last being a total fusion with all kinds of metal in me. I suffer from Neuropathy and the only drug that helps it is Gabapentin and that killed my kidneys so I am in stage four of kidney disease. Smoking weed is hard on my lungs as I smoked so much of it back when I was young. The weed and edibles take the edge off but they are not real pain killers or wonder drugs. Unfortunately only opiates give real pain relief and I refuse to get on that train again. Once you start opiates your tolerance gets higher and higher. It also constipates you so badly you are always on a laxative.
I use a wheel chair when I have to go out. My spine and neck have really bad stenosis and I rarely go out anymore because it just hurts too much. I use a combination of Xanax and Flexeril to keep the pain tolerable. The weed and edibles just gets you a head high so you can forget you are in pain as long as you don't move around too much.
I have tried oils and they work about the same as flower. Oils are expensive. I also don't go to the dispensary that often as I can get weed as good and half the price off the streets as my kids know who has good product.

Wow that’s a tough road you are on, and makes any issues I face as extremely trivial. I daily truck peritoneal dialysis solution to residences, and it boggles my mind how common kidney disease is. I am blessed though, I meet some really cool people, and those that aren’t cool, I figure that they are having a rough time… they still get treated like the cool kids though. You must be a tough son of a gun!
