Thanks. It is a great smoker. I like the thick walls of the bowl--seems to make it smoke cooler (although that seems a bit counter-intuitive). It also has a wide, lucite bit which I like. Mine is a 1998 vintage. Here is a bit of information that might interest you: pipedia.org/wiki/Bonfiglioli
Excellent. This one looks to be from 1996 according to the chart on pipedia.

Paul's Morning Smoke (Cyprian version) in my Erik Nielsen bent Bulldog. For you Haunted Bookshop fans, in case you haven’t heard, C&D has announced an upcoming release of Haunted Bookshop Cake. I’m not a fan of HB, but I know that a lot of you are.

Just starting a bowl of Ashton winding Road in my Chestnut 4407 Bent Prince (2010). It's a mild, very lightly caramel & apricot topped Virginia with a sprinkle of Black Cavendish. I like it. Not to the point where I would stock up, but I will finish the tin without any problems. Another Ashton I enjoy when I want something mild is Gold Rush, it's a good, no nonsense Golden and Brown Virginias with a very light citrus topping. Strawberry Bubly on the side.

Met up with friends at a local craft brewery. Had a fun couple hours. One Saturday each month in summer, city closes main street to traffic for a street party. Lotsa people. At home now, Three Friars in the Saturday cob.

Thanks msokeefe,
That Gambler is a pretty nice looking pipe. I'm really enjoying this one. I love the practicality of the poker shape. Whenever I am working outside, it is easy to set down most anywhere.

Engine 99 in my Ron Powell Rhodesian, hot coffee on the side. we're getting some much-needed rain, and it looks like it'll rain all day. A good day to slow-roast some venison, and clean pipes while it cooks.
