A spill tray bowl in the Kristi freehand. Bits of Butternut Burley, Granger, and F.M.C. start my day, with the help of some fresh, hot coffee.

Hard to belie It’s Summer Solstice today. Taking mom to the dentist early this morning before heading to the office. More Peterson’s 3P’s and Night Train to keep me company. Have a great day everyone.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee on the front porch. Got everything watered. Back on porch with Three Friars and more coffee. Currently 82, headed for 96 today.

Gonna be a hot one. Also watered everything early this morning and did a bunch of weeding. Taking a break with Folklore, and about to start a bowl of C&D Habana Daydream and head back out. Already 86 with an index of 88 here. Also supposed to hit 96. But it's solstice and to be expected to be a long, hot day.
Oh, the Habana Daydream in a Dagner Pipes poker cob.

C&D just released Haunted Bookshop as a cake. What is this madness? Did you see this, Silver ? Next up is 2016 Haunted Bookshop in a Mark Twain cob.
EDIT: And it's sold out?

I bought 9 cans of it when it became available at midnight. That first round sold out quick, about 20 min. I’m such an easy mark for Tobacco companies.

I'll get a few eventually but I'm in no rush. I've got more than 10 pounds of Haunted Bookshop of various ages cellared and in no way would I consider a crumble cake to be "more convenient" as they seem to be implying with it I'll stash a few tins away to see how it ages in a cake at 5+ years and otherwise continue buying bulk by the pound and two of the 8 ounce tins per year. It's neat having it available in a cake format, of course.

Mac Baren Royal Twist in the Monday cob. How are you liking it, Pete? I grabbed a tin but haven't had a chance yet to open it. It's great, but fresh it needed a chunk of age. It's similar in vein to the good, old Three Nuns.
