Yes. I bought this pipe during my last trip to Paris in 2019. Did you enjoy your trip? I am hoping to take a trip to Europe from here to the next 5 years. One of my bucket list items is to visit the major fine arts museums in France, the UK, Italy and the Netherlands (the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, of course). Yes! I've been to Paris twice for work each with a weekend to myself. Not a whole lot pipe-wise, but La Pip Du Nord is a pipe-only shop (no tobacco). When I told the owner that I was looking for a French made pipe as a souvenir, she tried to steer me towards the 50 euro Chacoms. As we talked and she asked me what shapes I like, I mentioned Billiards, Apples, Bulldogs, and small Freehands then remembering a bit of French, I said "petite Freehands". Her eyes lit up and she pulled out this Pierre Morel with horn shank cap. That's why I always call it my petite Freehand. It is definitely petite with only a 3/4" deep chamber. It gives a great 30 minute smoke with straight Va. When I travel, I seek out both art and historical museums. I've been lucky that for most of two decades work would take me to Europe 3 or 4 times a year. In 2018, I finally got to check off the top two unvisited off of my list: the Louvre and the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam). The Rijksmuseum was hands down the best art museum that I have ever been to. However, I should caveat that with my favorite art is the Dutch Masters. The top places that I've been lucky enough to visit while on business trips: - London: British Museum, Victoria & Albert, Imperial War Museum - Paris: The Louvre, The French Army Museum and Napoleon's Tomb (co-located), La Pip du Nord (pipe shop) There is a medieval museum in Paris that I haven't gotten to yet - forget the name.
- Amsterdam: Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam Pipe Museum When in the Netherlands buy Troost Slices. A VA flake similar to OGS but with a touch of butterscotch. Available only there. I found three pipe shops in Amsterdam.- Berlin: The Pergamon, The Neue, German National Museum, Der Pfeifenladen (a pipe shop) Berlin has a really nice zoo and no one does a double take when they see you walking around the zoo with a pipe.- Monaco: The Napoleon Museum - Stockholm: Vasa, Moderna, well, actually, every single museum in Stockholm and several of them multiple times. The engineering group that I am associated with in in Stockholm and I stopped counting at 50 the number of times I've been there since 2003. Sigh. I haven't been to Europe since the before times. Hopefully, though, not too much longer. With my luck it will be Stockholm in January. A pipe outside the hotel really, really sucks then and is really short.

You managed to see some great art. Try le Musée de l'orangerie in Paris (Jardin des tuileries, so close to le Louvre), I heard they have a nice collection and I was lucky to view, in Montréal (Musée des beaux - arts), an exhibition featuring some of their paintings, and promised myself to eventually view the whole thing. I had an awesome time. This exhibition stirred my interest for arts. I have also seen an exhibition, in Ottawa (Musée des beaux - arts du Canada), of some of Van Gogh's paintings, and I was thrilled to have been able to see it. I also went to Musée canadien de la nature and it was alright. In 2004, I attended an exibition about paintings depicting WWI scenes at the Vancouver Art Gallery. It was very interesting because, if I remember well, they were not painted by famous artists. Most of them were soldiers, I believe. I've also been to an exhibition at the Royal British Columbia Museum, in 2005 about Ancien Egypt artifacts. It was a modest collection but still fascinating. I've heard of Troost Slices and will get some. Marie - Aurèle is passionate about pipes and smokes herself. When I go to France, I will certainly stop at A la pipe du nord, she's the only one extending huge efforts to offer decent pipes to parisiens and whoever else go there.

Pete's been smoking so much of the Three Friars that it's prompting me to get back into my jar from June 2020. I'm in the mood for a burlier VaPer (I'm coining that term)
In my Mark Twain cob with Forever stem and gold band.
