Got together with Nightking this afternoon for some great smokes and conversation. Thanks for driving up, Nightking. You are most welcome and I also enjoyed it very much. With much of my stress gone it was even more enjoyable than the first time. I always learn something and get to try a couple I have not before. You are a wonderful host sperrytops. Trying SPC Hogshead for the first time in my Kaywoodie Super Grain Billiard. Something different at the Chicago Show this year: people were no longer charging a token amount for samples. Don’t know what has changed but we're back to getting free samples at shows.  |

Trying SPC Hogshead for the first time in my Kaywoodie Super Grain Billiard. Something different at the Chicago Show this year: people were no longer charging a token amount for samples. Don’t know what has changed but we're back to getting free samples at shows. I believe that some years back at the west coast pipe show, vendors could not give away tobacco by law, but they had a plate of nickels that were free for the taking, and a bowl costed a nickel. I think I remember it that way… |

The first bowl was 2020 KBV Dark Fired Cherry, Warped Saint Espresso, tiny bit of 2020 GLP Union Square, and some 2015 Five Brother's, in an MM Country Gentleman. The overall taste and effect was pretty good but it's going to need some aged C&D Virginia Flake and some C&D Dark Burley ribbon.
