Two Timer on my drive home. 2018 Carolina Red Flake while walking the dog. It was the best bowl of it that I've had so far. Being a two timer on your way home? Risky behavior, risky driving… was it smoking hot? Usually a cigarette afterwards, but Carolina Red Flake steps it up a notch.

WAS smoking Marlin Flake in a GBD Billiard. Somehow, I dropped it. Instead of landing on the grass an inch away, it hit the brick landing at the stairs. The stem snapped.
Ughhhh!

If it is a nice pipe, send it off to my buddy Mike Myers at Walker Pipe repair. He even has the GBD brass Rondells to get it back to what it should be.

Earlier was Three Sails, right now I thought I would continue my "blast from the past" tobaccos, smoking Granger in a cob. WC Persian Slipper will follow it.

Smoking something I never thought I'd see...bone dry Borkum Riff Original. I tucked this pouch into a cigar box a few months ago, and forgot about it. Last night I dreamt about that box, that also contains some unopened C.B. Royal pouches, and this morning I went to the box and found these crunchy remains. Fans of the old incarnation of this tobacco will be a bit downhearted with the flavor and aroma of this B.R. when first opened. Like so many things these days, it's just not what it used to be; for me, the aftertaste was much like the smell of play-dough. This morning, dry and crunchy, I taste something I missed when it was fresh and moist...TOBACCO!, not great, but a big improvement, and at least smokable. Don't try this at home...I got this pouch for one dollar and a coupon from Lane, and I simply won't throw anything away. The pipe used was a Stanwell Danish Star, and the chaser was a mug of Yuban with hazelnut cream.

Morning everyone. Getting ready for another day at the office. Bald Headed Teacher and Black Frigate to keep me company. A buddy of mine announced yesterday that he has liver cancer which made me realize a lot of my complaints pale in comparison.

Beautiful looking pipe. 😃 Thanks! To me, it’s the most Danish looking Italian made pipe I’ve seen. It caught my eye as soon as I saw it on Sally’s (The Pipe Tart) table in Chicago. It’s been smoking great. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out. Would be another welcome addition to my pipe collection.
