Dinner was Chicken Taco's and a nice cold Corona in a frosty mug. Up in the man cave I decided to knock a dent in all of those Lane samples I picked up this weekend, so started out with Lane Cube Cut in the Kaywoodie Supergrain Apple. Then moved on to Lane Crown Achievement in the Bent Dublin Sippin on H2O in a glass with bergs and chasin that with Glenrothes.

Ok, Ok, so I'm weak. About 3 samples into the evenings festivities I kept lookin @ the new to me tin of Penzance. I'm still trying to decide what pipe I'm gonna try it in and what occasion I'll use as a reason to do so. Meanwhile I've got a tin of Margate I've had for a couple of months and have only had a few bowls of. It's calling out to me while I'm lookin @ a swell Rahm Bent Bulldog that's beggin to get into the fight. So, what's a fella to do? Why, stoke er up with Margate of course. Man oh man, what a great smoke, complemented with a nice glass of Glenrothes neat.

66F and cloudy this morning before sunrise, about as warm as it's going to get with rain all day. Yogurt and some dark chocolate for breakfast. Now smoking Uhle's #300 in an MM Country Gent, drinking Trader Joe's coffee and listening to NPR. Putting my older vehicle in the body shop today for a little freshening up. Planning on keeping it a while longer rather than buying new. Welcome to retirement.

I had a lovely evening yesterday. Hubby took off half a day to get yard work done. He and our son mowed my brother's lawn (Hubby and our dojo business partner get the use of Brother's two car garage as a workshop if they fix the roof and take care of the yard work) and then we had pizza for dinner and went back over to burn brush and tree limbs that they have been piling up for a year. So while sitting outside around a bonfire for two hours I got to do some pipe smoking My first smoke consisted of G.L. Pease's Sextant in my Corn Cob Nation 2017 Pipe of the Year. Second smoke was Sterling Royal London Dock in a modded MM Devil Anse Cutty, and my last pipe was Drew Estate Grand Central Station in an unpolished MM apple Diplomat. That one was like smoking a caramel sundae, lol. I was sipping Raspberry iced tea.
