Last smoke of the day is Esoterica Margate in a 1/4 bent lattice finished IMP Meerschaum billiard, drinking a glass of 2013 Columbia Crest merlot and watching NOVA on PBS. Great smoker. Meer starting to take on some color. It takes more bowls than advertised if done naturally.

Tonights medley started out with the Vermont Maple Cavendish, quite wonderful I might add, Thanks Mike.
Then on to the D&R English Hooplah, thanks Jim
I then had to pull down the Margate and load up the Bent Bulldog, love that smoke.
Another gift from Mike found its way into the line up... HU Makhuwa, lovely smoke.
Got a craving for ZBC, so I loaded up the Dunhill Pot. Very pleasant.
Finally pulled down the Sutliff Peach Cobbler. Wonderful Dessert.

Ok, so tonight I decided to go ahead and break in the Luciano I was lucky enough to win @ the TAPS Pipe show a couple of weekends ago. Jim suggested I break it in with Burley. As luck would have it, I still had some Burley Flake that Chuck had given me @ the pipe show. Here's the pipe... Here she is stoked up and smokin... Sippin cognac Pretty fun way to Christen such a neat pipe. Definitely not a clincher. [ ] Much more beefy than anything I own.

Had time for two smokes for breakfast before sunrise this morning: Last dregs from a tin of MacBaren HH Old Dark Fired in a Goussard PyPi. Then (much to the cats'delight - they think of Latakia as catnip ) a bowl from an old tin (produced by Germain in the British Isles) of Smokers' Haven Krumble Kake. Frankie round my legs trying to trip me up and Pippin trying to scoot up my leg as if I was a tree

Of course forgot to mention that said Krumble Kake was enjoyed in a Capitol author, the first real briar I purchased about eight years ago.

Last smoke of the day is Granger in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple with a black vulcanite stem. Reading baseball box scores with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly's snoozin' by my feet after a long day of doing nothing.

Summer like conditions here. June bugs already out, high in mid 80s expected today. Smoking Hearth and Home Louisiana Red in an unfinished Savinelli Lumberman, drinking Coke Zero and heading out for a walk this morning.
