I normally don't post in this thread as my brain is so scattered I can't list for sh**. Estate Pipes: Regrets, I've had a few, perhaps a few, too few to mention. The gifts that I have received are all stellar and remain (Scrooge 6, Lady M, Fluffie, John B), but I have made a lot of mistakes on eBay. Two Bulldoggies already bit the dust. Not so with Sloop John B. He had gifted me with a Sloop John B Snubnose Poker, and when I went to his eBay sales I bid on a few other pips. These estates are as close as you will get to being totally clean. Yes, I said this before. But... I won a pipe today that is more than I wanted to pay, but a small percentage of what I feel it's worth. www.ebay.com/itm/Very-NiCE-NEW-OLD-STOCK-Tobacco-Smoking-PIpe-LOT-E-with-NO-RESERVE/372187601299?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2748.l2649 I have wanted some more colorful pipes, as in stem. I have been drooling over one (maybe two?) of Peter D's Sea Rock pipes. This fits the bill on both ends. I don't know technically if it would be called a Sea Rock, but it works for this old Jack Tar. You all need to check his pipes named Sloop John B Poker. He has a few up and they smoke better than a cob and more consistent than most briars. I know there are a lot of good estates out there, but on my budget I am raking up some nice pipes from a nice guy. BTW, I am bidding on a third Sloop John B Poker at present

Two bland Sav 320 KS 9mm pipes from across the pond. Nothing special about them. I’ve always wanted an author and my meerschaum filter experiment is going so well I thought it was a good mix. Good work barn pipes.

Mark, my Sav 320's are 6mm and I put a 6mm Meer filter in them. If the fit is tight on your 9mm, it will restrict your draw more than you want. Again, mine are 6mm, so there may be a diff.

Nice Wiley, Hunter! What is the bowl size on that baby? To be honest, not sure yet. Will know in a couple of days when I receive it. It does look large, doesn't it.

That Wiley is a beautiful piece of Briar! Thank you, Sir. I do like Randy's style. This is my fourth pipe by him. His texturing on the briar, and the different colors of Lucite stems is what I enjoy about his style.

In need of 9mm pipe filters, I found them to be in short supply at the usual vendors. I found the best price for Vauen @ 2 boxes of 100's at Amazon. A bit atypical as the seller was Connecticut Power Tools. I've seen this vendor offer Zippo's and Peterson pipes in the past as well, so perhaps they have a small pipe shop on the side? Guessing the owner must be a pipe smoker. Also shipped the same day ordered.

In addition to the various 64 Capt Black pouches enroute from haebar, yesterday 8 - 12 ounce bags of various SuperValue blends @ 20% off snagged me. Their serviceable 2 & 2 1/2 star blends, actually a bit better than expected and the Chocolate is a solid 3 star offering. The best SV are English and Bourbon Whiskey, garnering 3 1/2. Bean counters got busy on these 2 and their only offered in 1 1/2 ounce pouches with no 12 ounce bag option. So some mainstream smoking ahead of me . . . . hey, Low Brow is better than No Brow!
