I have one that I bought about 1990. The reason I did was it was right before Christmas and I had seen a painting about Christmas that featured a 1800s scene with a man on Christmas morning (or evening) smoking a churchwarden and I thought it would be a good thing to do. Since then I have smoked it every year on Dec 24th in the evening and on no other day. It's my Christmas pipe. Goofy I know, but it makes me feel snug on Christmas eve.
