I’m new to pipe smoking. Forgot to introduce myself. I have smoked cigars for sometime. Someone introduced me to smoking a pipe and though I have much to learn I won’t go back. More pleasurable and relaxing. Great forum to learn the details.

Welcome from Arizona. I was the same. Smoked cigars for a long time. Now I hardly smoke cigars. 95% pipe.

I agree with you, it is hard to find anything in the fast paced world we inhabit that requires you to slow down to enjoy it, the pipe does.
What part of California do you hail from?

I used to live in Campbell, Sunnyvale, later on Newark, and later in Hollister. Through the 80’s and 90’s I worked in the meat business, later foodservice for restaurants and hotels. A lot of fond memories of great establishments in SF that I serviced, and enjoyed as a patron. Too bad Sherlock’s Haven is long gone in SF, it was a great tobacconist. (Battery & Sacramento St.) |
