Started with GH rum flake, which apparently I am not fond of, dumped halfway and switch to Northwoods. Been almost a year since I've smoked it and it seem that latakia really mellows pretty fast. It's much more mellow than I remember.

Chatham Manor in an Old Dominion pipe, that I ran across yesterday. It's one of two yard-sale pipes my wife picked years ago. The Gent who re-stemmed it called it a chair-rocker...it's a rocking sitter/poker/billiard{ish} thing. Nice smoker, with a new acrylic stem too...I put it away cause I just couldn't get used to the shape, but I've mellowed some, over the years. Coffee on the side as usual!

Glad you're ok just ol ed ! I didnt know anyone under the age of 35 could drive a manual. I've tried to teach both of my oldest sons and they look at me with the most puzzled look on their face.

I haven't had a standard since 76. I drive my BILS Z06 Vette in 2007 and a Mini Cooper around 2015. Unless you count the trike I just sold.

I was 40yo before I bought my first automatic transmission in 2017 Silverado. Everything else I ever had for myself has a manual. Planning on leaving non synchronized transmission in the 47 Power Wagon as my anti theft device along with foot starter not really on the floor but up on the firewall.

WC Old Dominion in a meerschaum. Going for the same, it sounds good tonight. My current car is the only auto I've owned, and I hate it. For the first few months I would still stomp with my left foot to press the non existing clutch.

When you drive big trucks for a living, getting into an auto shift pickup is really nice.
I prefer manual in the big trucks, but they are now special order with a premium price on big trucks, so that is what is bought. The auto shift has evolved far beyond the mid 70’s Western Star I once drove, but I would prefer a manual on the clay wet roads on the reservation, and ice and snow.
I can drive a manual forever without a clutch replacement, but when I slip seated with someone it was always someone that blew out the clutch brake…
