Thanks, Charlie. The Rovera's use briar blocks that they've aged at least 10 years and they really know how to carve a perfect pipe. I love my couple Ardor's and will definitely be buying more of them. The tenon is Delrin on this saxophone.

Well from where I am sitting it looks perfect in execution, the rustication, silver and stemwork really make this one a winner, and with that level of work, the internals have to be on the same level.
It might just be a bit ostentatious for you to smoke, you should send it my way for this chap to pull it off! 😉
Enjoy it!

It's really hard to take a couple decent photos of it from different angles. I just put a new BJ Long rubber bit on the stem. The airway, the stem funneling, all flawless.

Nice family day today. Did some beverage (wine and spirits) shopping for the holidays and spent more than intended. All set for the winter, I think. Had venison sauerbraten for dinner. Played a few card games after we ate. Of course, we worked a few pipes in. Everyone went to bed, so I'm having some Haunted Bookshop in a cob as I wrap things up here. Maybe one more pipe after this one.

3F in a Falcon Plymouth. The Space Age metal shank keeps one hand warm, sort of. Instant hot cocoa powder in a big cup of coffee. It's making me jangly.

Just enjoyed a bowl (half bowl) of 2015 vintage Christmas Cheer in an oval shank apple (Tomato?) I recently got. The first bowl in this pipe, it's stamped Christmas 2016 Golden Blast, but I don't know who made it. It has a single star in a circle (5-point) set in the stem on top. I will be revisiting this tobacco a bit for the BOM. I will reserve my thoughts for that after I've sampled a few bowls. Sounds like Mark Tinsky.

Gatlin-Burlier's Mountain Mall Mix in a Stanwell Royal Guard, coffee on the side. This is my first bowl of M.M.M. It'll be a real treat when the ole sweet tooth acts up...burns even and slow, and stays lit pretty well for a mostly black cavendish mixture.
