Cubed tobacco from a jar marked, Bushmill's/ Walnut, in my Savinelli 707 Prima Serie. Remembering my old friend Larry Ream, who pressed a fair amount of Bushmill's soaked walnut into cakes for a few weeks, then crumbled it and sent me half. Larry left us in 2014, so the mix is from around 2011 or 12.

I spent two hours last night cleaning an antique German meerschaum and getting it ready to smoke. There’s still more to do, polishing the horn stem and a re-wax of the bowl, but I wanted to try it out before investing more time. I’m smoking WC Elf Dandruff in it now and the pipe is smoking great. Now that's a beautiful pipe. Thanks! |

Oh wow, they just added a bunch of different Sam Gawith in 8 ounce boxes on SmokingPipes, and it even included Cannon Plug, Grousemoor Plug, cob and Balkan Plugs!

Most of them are gone already but we got the info they were coming weeks ago. I hope they can also start to get a few more shipments per year to satiate our supply. I got an 8 ounce box full of 1792 flake which was MUCH cheaper than a few weeks ago when I paid $14.99 per 1.75 ounce tin. Only $44 per 8 ounce box.

Digging through the box of aros now. I think I'm going to assign them a card (A of Clubs, 5 of diamonds, etc) and draw cards to make my decisions for me.
I just sanded and buffed an older Grabow just for the occasion. I believe my Neerup Churchwarden, and a Stanwell horn that I bought over a year ago and still haven't smoked, will be my aro pipes. I refuse to smoke aros in my normal pipes.
