2nd bowl of Yorktown, back to back. Kind of. I ate 3 oranges between bowl 1 and 2. I'm finally able to have my chair within 10' of the fire.

I think I had one pipe in the past 3-4 months. I'm on a roll, now, though -- really enjoying everything I've smoked this week. It's like I got into this for a reason, or something.

2020 C&D Poplar Camp for the first time, in a Roswitha Anderson sandblasted apple. Seemingly a tad redundant or so I thought at first if you keep Bayou Morning stocked but it is nuanced with the black cavendish. That black cav rounds out the sharpness of the Perique just a bit and makes a smoother smoke throughout comparatively.

Fresh Haunted Bookshop from a pound that showed up today. I always have to sample a bowl or two fresh before I put it away to test the consistency from year-to-year, batch-to-batch. Plus, this is the first pound I've bought which contains the genuine St. James Perique that all C&D blends now contain from their farm partnership. The cut consistency is spot on but I note there are much larger chunks of Virginia flake in it. There's still about the exact same amount of vanilla/simple sugars casing in it, and it's better right off the bat fresh for having the St. James Perique in it rather than the last few years of testing batches with Acadian Perique. That, I'm F****** excited about! I'm down to nearly half-pound of 2016 Haunted Bookshop, a couple pounds of 2019? I believe, and I believe, a couple pounds of 2020, and a couple pounds of 2021. This pound will get jarred up at some point tomorrow to stash away.
I'm smoking some now in my Mark Twain cob.
