Popped a jar of Comoys Cask No. 7 last night, literally. I took the ring off and went to pry the lid, it jumped off the jar and landed on the floor. Good smoke. Hopefully my LBF has aged the same, it's a little older, but it needs to sleep a little longer. Along with my other jars of Cask no. 7. I only opened this one to send some to Gypo ... and I'm glad I did! No need for the Comoys 7/LBF debate, I've read it for years now

2017 Father Dempsey in my vintage Kaywoodie London Made Billiard. This pipe was probably made sometime in the 30s through 50s in the Comoy factory. Hey John, How do you like the Fr. Dempsey? It is the only tobacco banned from my house . I bought it about 10 years from Kramer's in CA. wanting to know what my name's sake found so inviting. The wife quickly banished it and me to the basement and porch once I lit it up. I enjoyed the baccy but, for marital harmony, I never reordered it.

I find it to be in the same neighborhood as Crown Achievement, Magnum Opus, and Our Best Blend. Are any other other full English blends allowed in the house? If so, then I’m surprised that Father Dempsey is banned. I’m smoking a C&D manufactured tin from just after they started making Kramer's. I’ve done side by side comparison with Kramer's store blended just after this came out in 2017 and found them to be a perfect match.

I like Fr Dempsey, but I think it is a bit stinkier than other English blends. Maybe heavy on the Turkish? I dunno.
