Anyone tried Jameson Orange? To this old fart it sounds like another travesty. I just read an scientific article about psychedelics making your brain work like it did in your late teens as far as learning and being open to new things. Maybe if I can find some acid I'll vote for Kamala. I've never tried it, but at the casino bar I tend to frequent, a lot of the younger folks seem to really like it. Maybe they should outlaw it, maybe it's marketed to kids, my sarcasm. Haha. |

I also like the maple bacon "drink" from Knob Creek. But they aren't whiskey. It's sad that Jameson shamed the brand like that, but hey, I wake up in a new world every day. |

About to try some Kentucky Owl Toasted bourbon for the first time. I don't plan to get toasted, so I guess it's good the whiskey is. Also, I don't know if it's made with real owl or some kind of owl-substitute.

Basil Hayden's Toast. Now, don't be confused. This is different from the one I tried the other night: Kentucky Owl Toast. Apparently, toasted barrels are all the rage right now. Anyhow, this is quite good. I've only tried each once, but right now I prefer this one.

Barrel is heated over a lower flame for a longer period before getting it's char. Interesting. |

Finished off that bottle of King's Family Wheated Whiskey last night. Tonight I'm working on the bottom of the bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel. It's fine whiskey, but my recommendation is don't pay the premium for it over the Small Batch (or Elijah Craig Small Batch).

Here, owls are called "Tecalote" (Tec-a-low-te) so "Tecalote Toast" has a nice ring to it. Enjoy yours. |

Some Teeling Small Batch. Not my favorite, really, but it's fine. I really like the Teelings, but I admit that it's not as good as my first 3 bottles, when they first started and were buy from other distilleries. |

An acquaintance recommended the Teeling Small Batch to me a while back. He loved it. To me, it's okay. I'll finish the bottle (eventually), but I won't buy another one.
