That mean you got the diesel running? A friend drove. Two of the steps completed for resurection. Tomorrow I will heat the oil pan, intake manifold, and fuel filter if I can find my heating pad. It should be above freezing so the fuel tank might warm up enough to melt any wax.

Made a batch of Naan type bread adding powdered milk and Whey protein powder to the whole wheat and AP flour. Came out great! Did this around 0330 this morning when I could not sleep. So, ready for breakfast this AM. USed Crisco, melted, instead of ghee as I am short of butter. Not too bad but prefer ghee, aka clarified butter.

Wolf Brand Chili without beans to which I added beans and diced Select Grade Chuck Steak. The meat is so tough with gristle I could not eat. Offered it to the dog who would not eat it, either. LOL!

Rolled out some more tortillas, learned how to make them from my mom which was 75% Native American, but informed by hispanic food growing up. Tortillas are 1/8 inch thick compared to the thin ones so commonly seen in Mexican fare, more tasty and better suited when one chooses to go burrito style.
With Carnitas, and beans.
Raking the spurs to Las Vegas tomorrow.

Leftover roast chicken, Parish Rice, homemade gravy. Spinach salad. This bird is definately a stewpot candidate. Tough old fowl. The breast meat is not bad but the thighs and legs are tough

Lunch was Chili con Carne made with Wolf's Chili, Del Real Tamales, and my own beans. All together in a small crockpot. Supper will be that shoe leather Chuck steak diced and simmered in wine and orange juice all day to tenderize and mixed with Mississippi Long Grain Rice. I am out of Parish Rice which I so prefer. Thanks Brad! Oh, for plant matter, a spinach salad with Bob's Big Boy Rouqefort Dressing. I prefer rice to potatoes or noodles. Please make a note of that.

Try Lundberg Farm’s wild and brown rice mix. Excellent. I keep it on hand. It’s my rice staple.

A bisque? Fish stew? Fish chowder? I dunno. All I know it’s darn good. Half a can of Progresso Creamy Tomato with Basil (my fave of their line), a full tin of smoked herring (sometimes Med style smoked mackerel, or anchovies), a TBSP of pesto, a TSP of capers, cracked pepper, coarse sea salt, and it’s done after 2 mins in the MW. Tasty and expeditious.

Try Lundberg Farm’s wild and brown rice mix. Excellent. I keep it on hand. It’s my rice staple. Lundberg was my rice of choice for many years and then I found Mississippi Delta Rice and Louisiana Parrish Rice (thanks to Brad). If I see that Lundberg mix in a store I will give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
