Cooked a beef Arm Steak in an iron skillet with butter and tomatoes. it is a lean steak, so butter and olive oil help. Zero appetite. Eating requires enthusiasm and I have none. Half an acorn squash in the oven. Not much enthusiasm for that either. My stomach hurts most of the time. Better in the morning.

Tonight's dinner will be Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, garlicky green beans. Fun fact: Dr. Salisbury, 19th century doctor and inventor of the steak that bears his name, thought that vegetables and grains contained anti-nutrients that promoted disease, and advocated a low carb diet of mostly steak and coffee. Really simple, to be Schwan #751 mac/cheese (bought couple extras last time), 6mins nuke, side of tea, to TV at 6pm, eat & newsfeeds. Store brand cookies & another tea later with Jeopardy for company

I'm worried that something is seriously wrong with your stomach. Your symptoms sound like my mom before she ended up in the hospital. |

Lunch in Taos at "The Golden Piñon" restaurant. First time there. The Chile Relleno Plate with rice, beans, enough Guacamole and Pico de Gallo. Their Red Chile is excellent.  |

The Mexican food we have here isn't the best, but it's standard Tex-Mex. A few house specialties. I miss the carne guisada I used to get at Dos Gallos in Humble. They had real food. |

Breakfast was a small piece of left over arm-steak from a cattle unit. Two eggs with hash brown potato. Lotsa coffee.

After snoozie, one piece Schwan #404 breaded chicken bake, 1-cup #769 mix vegs nuke. Eat at TV, newsfeeds. Store brand tea & cookies with Jeopardy as always

Fried pork chops, mustard greens and a tomato and cucumber salad with our first tomatoes and cucumbers from the wife's garden. There's nothing like a home grown tomato.

Very bummed out today. The town restaurant, the Cass County Seat Country Cooking Cafe, is closed. The previous owner was behind on her taxes and didn't tell her daughter when she sold her the business. State came in and took all the money from the bank accounts. We are all doing what we can to get her going again. It was the best regular food in the county. Can't live very well here without it.

Same as usual Fri. Bring home from diner, fish fry & same side. Eat at TV, golf & newsfeeds at 6pm for company. Ditto with after doings

Breakfast was old fashioned oatmeal loaded with peanut butter, brown sugar, milk, and cinnamon. Lunch was tuna salad, apples, and crackers with the kids.
