Don't know if some, like me, do this: smoke about half a stick one day, let it extinguish itself, pick it up the next day, trim off the char end and enjoy the 2nd half. I find that the day after flavors open up a bit rather than decline otherwise to a more charcoal dominant profile. Makes me think of the benefits of delayed gratification technique used of our beloved pipe tobaccos, wherein the tobaccos have a chance to expand and acclimate so as to impart more from the cellular structure. Like a good scotch opens up and imparts more flavor with a sprig of spring water added. Thoughts?

I don't ever relight cigars but know lots of folks do. I've heard blowing out the old smoke before resting it may help. For me, the flavor becomes more acrid so, once it's lit, it's smoked all the way.

What lead me to discover this cigar DGT method that most often works for me is that I don't always have the time or desire for the whole stick. Also, my rested palate better appreciates the revisit.

Casa Cuba Flor Fina... I could tell just by first light and draw that this was going to be GOOD!!! 👌👌👌👌👌 Quite good although one dimensional mostly through the 1st third. Lots of smoke with the open draw. A length of tight ash holding on strong. Mild-medium without transition in strength or flavor profile. Ahh, now into the 2nd third the flavor and mild spice amp up a tad but without additional flavors to tease me. I get tobacco, vanilla, and anise with a hint of cedar and something vegetal. Beautiful burn and smoke output. I like it a lot, but not sure I'd seek out a 2nd date. We'll see how she holds my interest until the nub.
