Was out last night with my binocs and astronomy app trying to view comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF). Too much moonlight and light pollution for success. Me and my son are going to drive out of town Friday night and give it a more serious try. Last pass for this comet was 50,000 years ago. Would be fun to view it.

Is it one that you'd be able to get a photo of?

I don’t think I will be able to with just a phone. I might try with my phone and telescope. We will see…..

I had planned on looking for it, but it rained all night.

Clear dark skies here but cold at night. Hard to stand around for long.

Was going to look for the comet tonight, but the clouds are not cooperating. A lot of water vapor in the air.

We had our first clear night tonight where I'm at in quite a while. I tried to see the comet, but with the moon being in a nearly full stage it was way too bright for me to see it.
