Hey pappyjoe I'd like to know how this is showing off? I'm 60+ years old an have raised 3 kids an everything I own is paided off. I've worked hard an long to get this little collection built up. Showing off NO! Sharing with other pipers Yes. Is'nt that what this forum is about . Sorry if I offended anyone else while sharing my only hobby I have left. Still working on the man cave/ 1 car garage, currently adding a portable 8,500 btu a/c unit, mounting a 8 ft wide workbench top, swapping and adding more speakers, putting up 2 of the 4ft. LED strip lights over the desk and workbench, making a shelf for over the 6ft wide steel tanker desk. Recently found a smoking stand to put between me and my smoking buddies that come over. Will post up a picture when I get done. Post more than 1 picture! |

Living the singular life, I have a three bedroom house available to smoke in. I don't smoke in my bedroom or bathroom but the rest of the house is fair game.  |

Maybe I'm out of place in saying this...but I don't think pappyjoe was meaning "showoff" in a negative or mean spirited manner. Scrooge is a standup guy and far from what his forum member name implies. I think pappyjoe was just chiding in his remark and not mean't to be complaining. Hell, I'm probably the poorest member here and my mancave is a corner in my ancient mobile home. It is stacked with 2 bookcases filled with tobacco that I have accumulated over 5-6 years...about 65#'s. I'd be embarrassed to photograph my place, but it is paid for and mine. Please, Scrooge, don't be offended, I don't think it was meant that way and we'd all like to look at each guys' stuff.

I live alone, but do not smoke in the house (I'm sort of an obsessive-compulsive head case).  My tiny tobacco "cellar" is a shelf in the kitchen below the microwave.... My smoking lounge is the back deck.........  |

I enjoy my time in my porch in FL, recently got a hand me down leather chair, as well as put some lights up. Will take a picture when I’m home later. Other than that I spend my weekends playing by the domino table with family and this will be my first Sunday with a pipe usually smoking cigars, but it gets expensive quickly and I am enjoying it so far.

I smoke on my front porch, I don't like the smell of smoke in the house. I sit out here all year long. I have a bistro table and some chairs so if anyone wants to join me they can.

Now from outside the man cave: From the outside entrance:
From my seat: Toward the outside entrance: It's a washed out pic but you get the idea From the house entrance: blinds down for dark movie watching. |

All in all a good Saturday. Got up this morning and took the Harley out for a spin. Spent a couple of hours at the B&M enjoying a Leaf by Oscar then decided to ping the neighbor for a round on Pinehurst #2. We got rained out on the 9th hole and retired to the veranda for a couple of cigars and pitcher of beer. Jason (my neighbor) and his wife then joined us for dinner. Afterwords we retired to the mancave for cigars and scotch / bourbon... And chess of course.  |
