Just about to finish a bowl of Granger in a Ben Wade second. If it's a Preben Holm era second that several notches above a Lane era second.

Had a very busy, and enjoyable weekend with family. The usual tobaccos accompanied, when possible. Winding down with some Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob.

Good Morning! It's 35° here with a clear sky. Nothing much on the list for today with the exception of a laundry chore. Warm and sunny afternoons are on the way for this week, so I may just sit out on the deck and enjoy a pipe sometime. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the BBB Own Make Virgin and there's a fresh mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket.

Just about to finish a bowl of Granger in a Ben Wade second. If it's a Preben Holm era second that several notches above a Lane era second. I bought it in 1983 and the shop where I bought it had Ben Wades and Charatan pipes. The shapes of the Charatans, Ben Wades, and seconds were the same with similar stampings. I bought three of the seconds, a Canadian, a bent bulldog, and this pipe, The Huntsman. I'm waking up with a bowl of Granger in a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke rusticated billiard.

Good Morning Again! It's 44° here right now with a mostly clear sky and sunshine. There's a thought among flake smokers that the flavor of flake tobacco is brought out best in a pipe with a narrow bowl. I have to agree and such is the case with this BBB Canadian that I'm smoking now loaded with HH Pure VA Flake. My best flake smoker, however, is a narrow-bowled Stanwell 29 Canadian, a gift from our friend Justin here on the forum some years back. Well, there's coffee left in the travel mug and I'm going to check the headline news before heading back to the house. A good day to you all!

I cleaned and loaded two long neglected old pipes this morning. The first is a Capitello acorn, finished in black with what I think is called antique shell, it's a very fine blast...the next is a " Made in London England " poker. Derby Club Aromatic in both. Once I pour my first coffee, I'll set fire to the Capitello.

Cabbie’s Mixture in a pipe I bought years ago as a “Hickory Warden” from an eBay seller. It originally had a crappy black churchwarden stem that wasn’t true, was narrow and had a molding seam down the length of it. My buddy, Eric made a new stem for it. Delightful smoker now. Looks great too! Eric (E. Tipton Pipes), is getting pretty damned good. i.postimg.cc/KzZwPrPh/F932-D94-A-BC4-C-4-EB1-A9-D1-BE09-DF9906-A8.jpg

I might have to try him out next time I need some work done on a pipe. My last three experiences with pipe repair services have not been good. I am currently smoking some Sillem's Blue in a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke rusticated billiard.
