Haunted Bookshop in this. Nice looking pipe Ted. Thanks, it’s a Koc pipe. After SailorBen came up with his Screwster pipe. I thought I should get this one back in rotation.

Good Morning! It's 50° with a clear sky here at first light. Nothing on the list except for the usual kitchen cleanup and laundry detail. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in the Amorelli Three Star and the travel mugga fresh coffee is on the workshop tobacco table. Time to finish reading one book and begin another.

Thanks all for the anniversary wishes! We had gone out last week to the 5 course wine dinner and called it our anniversary go out because my wife had a busy day yesterday including having office hours until 6pm. She's the Township Clerk. The Clerk before her had had office hours just three mornings a week during when the Township office is normally open (our Township is small and only has 3,500 voters counting the village.) After my wife got elected, one of the first things she did was change one of the days for her office hours to be late afternoon until 6pm in order to provide people with day jobs more access to her. So, last night, in true long term marriage fashion, we had a quiet evening at home with a dinner of grilled steaks and an evening of streaming British mystery shows. Now for some 2016 SH Our Best Blend in my Eltang bamboo Liverpool. Originally, I was calling this one a Billiard, but realized that it’s really a Liverpool.

2014 OGS in my Jess Chonowitsch blasted Billiard. Still feels good? 😜 Oh yeah. This pipe has perfect airflow and easily smolders a straight Va for sipping as I breathe. It’s inspired me to start to re-read In Search of Pipe Dreams by Rick Newcombe. When done, I may re-read Scandinavian Pipemakers. I did a rough count and I think I may now be at 50 Danish and Swedish made pipes counting my 21 Danish Stanwells.

Nice choice of pipe. Wait, maybe I should go check my pipe rack… 🤪😂 Hi John, Have you heard any news about the status of Paul's Pipe Shop? Will they have to move? I noticed they are having a 25% off "Demolition" sale. It’s a "Road Construction" sale. The City of Flint is rebuilding Saginaw St. in front of the shop. This is one of the brick paved streets downtown. To get into the shop right now, you pretty much have to go up the alley and use the back door. So, the construction is really affecting foot traffic in the shop. Dan owns the building. Last year, a developer was trying to buy up the block to redevelop it. Dan received an offer that he couldn’t refuse and started to look for a new location. Unfortunately, the developer pulled out. On top of that, the building is is pretty poor shape and needs a lot of work. The building directly to the north is condemned. When Paul's building was built, they didn’t bother building a brick wall and just joined to the existing building. So, if the condemned building comes down, the shop will have no north exterior wall. The building two buildings south of Paul's is also condemned. Dan is in a bind when it comes to spending money for building repairs and renovation. Right now, he's just doing minimum patch work as the long term future is in question and it would be a risky spend of money to invest in the building. So, I encourage people to support the shop as they are able to. www.paulspipeshop.com No tobacco sales available online, but you can do it the old fashioned way and call the shop. In particular, I recommend Darwin Asa (American-English), Morning Smoke (Va and Latakia), and Arrowhead (a vanilla aro that ages fantastically).

I have that one and Still Searching for Pipe Dreams. I have quite a few Preben Holms, Stanwell, Scandia, and Norup pipes. There are several more that I desire, such as a Stanwell 124, but I am at a point in life that I need to get rid of a bunch instead of buying more.

Good Afternoon, Friends! It's right at 60° with a clear sunny sky out here on the deck. A quick moving cold front has dropped the temperatures across the region and we're going to be in the upper 30°s over night. I just lit a bowl of C&D Bayou Morning Flake in the Amorelli and there's a bottle of ice water on the side. Have a good day, everybody!
