I guess that the show "The Americans" came out in 2013, but we started watching it this weekend on our ROKU streaming device, all the back episodes are available for free if you have Amazon prime. Good acting and plots, we ended up with a free weekend, so we did some binge watching. There are some racy scenes with nudity.

Been watching ever since it came on. Don't know why they never ever got any awards. Critics had Mad Men stuck up their asses, Breaking Bad also. Guess the Liberal critics were not in touch with what the Deplorables watched.

Kind of like in breaking bad, I find myself liking "the bad guys" (Russkies) more than "the good guys".
I read an article about this series, that it has had a slow start, but has really taken off now.
In real life, the husband and wife KGB agents are together and have a son.

I will binge watch it at some point. I always hear good reviews of it.

Update: We watched it and really enjoyed it for awhile...although we are far from being prudish, it seemed to be going more towards soft core porn...the sex scenes seemed like they were forced into the plot for pure titillation...not really into that so we just moved on.

It is unfortunate that a lot of quality shows think they have to go down that path to draw an audience. I tried to watch Spartacus and it was pretty much porn with lots of fighting in between sex scenes. Could not continue with it for that reason. I was always annoyed when reading a good scifi book when an author, out of nowhere would throw in a raunchy sex scene and get overly descriptive. I don't want to see or read about that any more than I would want bathroom scenes included in the story line. You're not prude Charlie, you are civilized.

All the prior seasons are on Prime, but you have to pony up $ to see the new season or wait months for it to be offered free.

My mom loves The Americans and voted for Bernie.

Guys... this is now two threads that I'm starting to see politics seeping in.
Please do not go there. I don't want to have to start closing these.

I like The Americans very much. It's an interesting idea to make sympathetic characters out of Soviet spies.

Season 5 made it to Prime. I found this season to be very depressing, especially the first half. The secondary storyline of the Russian agent who returns to his homeland, bored me, when not being outright confusing. Several minor storylines that verged on tangents, time filler photo montages and the like, strike me as a series that has bogged down and verging on foundering. Even as a Free Prime bonus, I did not enjoy it and am doubtful if I will continue with it. Another Graham Yost production that seems to be going off the rails similar to the path that Justified traveled.
