Reading, usually. Sometimes watching the world go by. Sometimes cutting down boxes for the trash. But usually reading.

Either decompressing at the hotel when on the road…or….
Surfing the net or reading books at home.
Lunting does not appeal to me a good part of the year, because I live in a pretty hot part of the world.

Sometimes I sit in my smoking chair, sometimes I split firewood with a pipe hanging out of my mouth but sometimes I run my chainsaw and bump knot's and buck logs on the landing but I ain't quite right just ask around!

Mostly sitting and relaxing, or working in the garden, or watching TV, or reading forum posts, or... Or my favorite time - smoking a pipe with my son, son-in-law and brother-in-law. All together (which is rare) or in some combination. |

I smoke in my outdoor workshop and watch videos of old TV programs or movies on my tablet computer.

Personally, it is usually down time. And not going non stop.

My favorite thing to do while smoking is sit by a fireplace and watch the fire.
Indoors, by the roaring fireplace, smoking and listening to a Rossini opera. Good times.
Outdoors too. I have a chiminea, and fall is the perfect chiminea weather. Sitting in front of the chiminea smoking pipe chatting with GF who is also smoking a pipe. Life does not get better than this.

Pretty much across the board. I don’t have much pleasure in piping while walking. Doesn’t work well for me. Usually sitting, and often at the keyboard, like now. Reading. Also that dangerous activity called Thinking.

Well said Bob, sounds like me...try to think as little as possible, am dangerous when do so! probably age-related. Living alone now (widower) seldom without either a pipe or cigar in my mouth when not busy eating.

Also that dangerous activity called Thinking. Yea that thinking is painful stuff. Produces anxiety. Heck it is thinking that drives me into smoking in the first place. |
