The 7lb turkey ended up in a Reynolds bag just waiting for the green bean casserole. The mac and cheese was demoted for another day along with the peach cobbler. So key lime pie it is up first.

Saved the turkey carcass, off to the store tomorrow to make some turkey stock, carrots, celery, garlic, onions, and some mild chiles.
A tip I learned at Trader Vic’s in SF…. Simmer the stock with onion and garlic skins on, strain it all out at the end.
It really makes a difference.
