What is this? This is not that kind of forum. I believe the OP is trying to find a way to post photos.

Having another bowl of Friar's Bayou in the Monday cob with a mug of tea. Making progress on some chunks of briar.

All, Happy Monday to those that can be enjoying the day. Having a nice bowl of Peterson's First Run of the relabeled Royal Yacht in a Dunhill Prince Shell... A bottle of water alongside... Listening to some Irish pub music on the Pandora while trying to stay out of the wifes way as she begins her not so annual cookie baking to take to the son for Christmas... (not that I will get a tin for the office... I think the snow needs to accumulate at the bottom of the screen so we can shovel it or make snowmen!

We had some gnarly weather yesterday and overnight. Too wet and windy to go outside for a pipe. I am loading up a newly acquired Stanwell billiard with some GL Pease Ashbury. I’ll share a pic shortly.

Tough day and I'm flagging. Can't seem to post images from my drive either. You have to post from a service, like Postimg.cc or similar. I here you. I'm retired so I wake up flagging.

I'm smoking McConnell Scottish Flake in a self-made, freehand Dublin. This shape, and its variations, seem to be a trend with me lately.

These are more fun to make than billiards. Got more going in the workshop. After the Holidays, I really need to get back to more traditional shapes.

Traditional shapes seem like they'd require a lot of patience and precision. Like building a ship in a bottle.

Traditional shapes seem like they'd require a lot of patience and precision. Like building a ship in a bottle. Especially billiards and pots. They improve your carving skills, though. What I've learned on those shapes can be applied to my latest freehands, with regard to roundness of the bowl, concentricity (making sure the chamber is centered) and shank/bowl transition. Every pipe I make teaches me something.

Gonna have a big bowl of McConnell Scottish Cake in a big pipe. One of the earlier self-made freehands when I was trying to channel the spirits of Preben, Soren and Karl-Erik. I added some channeling/faceting to this pipe sometime after this photo was taken.
