We do not have many here. Every so often they build a nest on my eaves. I leave them alone and they do the same. The wasps outnumber the mosquitoes here 10 to 1.

The wasps outnumber the mosquitoes here 10 to 1. Our mosquitoes can beat up our wasps. Somehow I believe that… Went to visit family in Loudon county Virginia and decided to have a smoke on the deck. It was the jungle tested Off! Commercial to the 10th power! That was about a three puff smoke!

Most years we have them for about one month, end of June to mid July. That is it there has been little rain. Back around 2010 it was a wet summer and we had clouds of them chasing my goats around the pasture. Could not gfo outside in the evening without Deet.

I try not to think about it since there seems little I can do.
Another warm day, here. Mid-80s. It's about to pour down rain, though. And I found I have more hornet nests to poison. Wheeeee.

Working in the healthcare field, I have to change my password every 90 days, sometimes it is less than 90 per the security people. Regular training nodes on USA and European rules in warning us and the accountability and fines, more importantly losing the trust of the patients when we fail. Phishing emails orchestrated by the security department to see if you take the bait. All of that Kind of sucks, having to bear the brunt...I get it I do not want to have my info divulged. I think a good approach would be bust the bad guys...Let Trailboss take them to a stump flowing with red ants, give him a hammer and nails and a jug of honey. I would prefer someone else handling the guilty persons "vittles".

Spent today at the DeBakey Heart and vascular health center. It was pouring cats and alligators this morning making for a slosh walker crawl to the truck. I can't raise my left foot high enough still glad I got 4wd as it was needed crossing the low spots. So after a little help I was in the truck and ready for my rainy-day adventure. As with most medical tests they raise more questions than answers, back on the 13th to fix the first stent put in by the overly pound surgeon. I wish I could have found Dr Biah first sure would have saved me a lot of table time. With a little more help back in the truck under sunny skies checking out the flooding. tomorrow more of the same with the mound center They want a vein test and a current A1C which get done at the where else DeBakey Heart and vascular health center. This is like Ground Hog Day only with a paid up insurance policy. Love everyone as best you can and Keep On Trucking!

Same. The more you know about the internet and how it works, the more you realize that resistance is futile They should have set up a business internet 30 years ago where you had to have a license and a certificate to even get on. Verified identification.

We had a half inch earlier this morning, more forcast for the next few days. We are already over 40 inches for the year. Ground is saturated so we could use a break. In Houston, you get used to the flooded streets and parking lots.

I would prefer someone else handling the guilty persons "vittles". I had implemented a couple of programs at the payroll company, regular changing complex passwords, weekly training on phishing with tests and other such stuff. Lots of complaints about the time it took away from work, so monthly meetings with examples of hacked companies going out of business, plus the nightly sweep amounts showing what a fat target we were. That made it go down easier. I still say that the internet isn't safe for business, even if it did make things easier. But at what cost?

I often think the same and I expect that some time in the near future, we will all realize tis is the case, that will be ugly.
I still do not know how defense related companies are not walled off from the rest of the world....no wonder America's enemies are able to cull the info.

Spent a couple of hours ripping nuisance ivy out of trees, off the fence, and out of what used to be flower beds. Got a big pile of it in the back yard to be bagged up.
It will grow back, but I put quite a dent in it.

In town all day. Had a nice lunch of Tacos Birria with rice and beans at a new Mexican joint. Very good quality. A little pricey at $16 but plenty of top level ingredients. Their Mexican pastries are beautiful. Sadly I cannot eat that anymore.

I was advised to avoid all sweeteners and reduce carb intake.

While trucking to Palm Springs one night, I listened to a doctor on a podcast talk about the incredible increase of sugars introduced into our food stream. He made an impressive argument about the relationship of sugar and dementia/ Alzheimers. I immediately thought about Reagan giving up the pipe, and consuming massive amounts of Jelly Belly’s…that is anecdotal to be sure, but he should have kept the pipe. My sugar intake is pretty low, but I still have my senior moments!😉

Well, after tearing out all that ivy, earlier, I'm now breaking out from mid-forearms to mid-biceps. I didn't see any "leaves of 3" in the nonsense, but maybe it was there. Weird part is that area was covered by my sleeves. The area exposed where I had them rolled up is fine.
