Mandy Patinkin has always been unhinged. But, as you say, a great actor. Never admit you knew his father.... He had a father?

A certain senator in Texas, (name rhymes with Cruz), had the audacity to quote a line from the made up character of Intigo Montoya. Mandy crapped his pants and objected to anyone repeating the lines of said character that never existed in realville, and complained that his persona was hijacked.
I guess I get it, that was-his crowning moment in cinema, but he portrayed a fictional character.

They get so wrapped up in their character they lose who they truly are if they ever knew in the first place. Fredrich March had trouble disengaging from the character of Matthew Harrison Brady following the filming of "Inherit the Wind".

It's hard to blame anyone for quoting from the Princess Bride. I do it all the time. Most of our families conversations are filled with movie quotes from dozens of movies. It's good to be the king Like tears in the rain Walk this way Some guy named aby Into the mud scum queen It's amazing what you can do with a cheap piece of meat Here's looking at you kid Fill your hands I'll buy that for a dollar We're going to need a bigger boat Rosebud You know how to whistle don't you Don't cross the streams My oh my what a wonderful day
Other things we act out like Bill Murray chasing the girl around the kitchen with a spatula.
Just useful every day language that communicates a little bit more with humor

Made him sit down and watch it with us.

Cool hand Luke as a teaching tool? Must be learning to count hard boiled eggs. Trying to get him to understand that he couldn't fight everyone. He had been kicked out of Montessori, elementary and private school. Usually not fist fights, but he's dangerous with words. He's much better now. He took the hint.

Last night I started an new TV series. "The Ipcress File". Based on Len Deighton's book and the 1964 movie with Michael Caine. The Harry Palmer character. This series is made in the UK and features notable Brit actors. Very well done. The young man playing Palmer seems very young to me and certainly younger than Caine was at the time he made the original movie. That is OK as he is good in the role. Palmer is a crook, a gourmet, a womanizer, and an excellent operative for the intelligence service. Looks to be a great series. It is on AMC streaming channel.

Life on Peacock staring Damien Lewis, very good. Damien Lewis is a fine actor. I enjoyed his Henry VIII in the series "Wolf Hall". I will check this one out. Thanks, Brad.
