Hello March, bright and sunny again but the weatherman says enjoy it because we won’t be seeing much of old Sol over the next few days. Back to my old standby Inns of Court in a Peterson billiard. I took a quick run down to the Amish market today to get some ribs to throw on the pellet smoker. I hope you all have a good day! I can't remember if we talked about this before, but have you tried the other Drucquer blends? What are your thoughts on them? Besides Inns of Court, I'm partial to First Amendment and Blairgowrie. I really enjoy Blairgowrie, but it’s a bit strong for a morning smoke. I like Inns of Court because it’s like an easy smoking comfort food for me. Like meatloaf and mashed potatoes. i haven’t had First Amendment yet, I’ll need to put it on the backlog. I haven’t tried the newest blends either (Merry Monk, King’s Fool, et.al.), none of them really intrigued me enough to order a tin. My favorite in the English style blends is Trafalgar. If I hadn’t stocked up on tons of Squadron Leader and Skiff Mixture, it’d be in my regular rotation. i also enjoy The Devil’s Own, especially as an alternate to Inns of Court. For whatever reason, I like The Devil’s Own better in warmer weather. All in all, I’d smoke any of the Drucqer’s blends and be happy.

Working on a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Pete smooth billiard while sipping my coffee and watching a streaming video on BritBox.

Good morning. It’s damp and dreary here, supposed to be wet most of the day. Lighting up a bowl of Spilman’s Mixture in a Peterson Apple. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday.

Just lit up a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Pete smooth billiard and sipping my coffee and watching another streaming video on BritBox. I'll head back to the house after this pipe.

Smoking P.S. Dark Burley 312 in a Savinelli Estella 121, coffee on the side. Temps in the mid fifties here, and everything is soggy from last night's rainfall. No real plan for today. I went to the doctor yesterday, and while I was out I got gas in the Ram, and made a third supermarket run in as many days. With all the medication, gas, food, and drink issues taken care of, today is all mine.

Happy Saturday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. 46 and cloudy, but dry, here. Odds and ends, and a little housekeeping today. Grilling t-bones for dinner.

I’ve just been smoking PS 81 since yesterday, taking a little break from blend hopping.

Merry Monk is one of those. It's interesting, the way different people experience different blends. To me, Blairgowrie isn't particularly strong, but Trafalgar is. First Amendment has a little bit of a kick to it, too.

My wife has variously described the “room note” on Inns of Court as pleasant, warming, like a stale cigarette, cigarish, (cough, cough) whaddareyasmoking babe that’s horrible. Our senses are unreliable witnesses, but that’s all we got. I’ve had a few more bowls of Spilman through the day’s tasks. I like this blend, and so far, no comment from my wife. But who knows? Tomorrow there may be a different perception…

Fortescue is an old fishing resort on the Delaware Bay. It might as well be in a different universe as Cherry Hill. I grew up in the Cherry Hill area, which is a suburb of Philadelphia. Have fond memories of it all. Nobody comes around these old bay communities unless they’re fishing, crabbing or looking for sea glass. It’s kind of like the Pine Barrens, with better sunsets and horseshoe crabs.

No. Actually, it has a nice spiciness from the perique that comes from the Bayou Morning part of the mix. That does have a lot of it, as I recall. Add some Turkish. Katerini, maybe. (I have no idea why.)

Good Sunday Morning! It's 45° here with a cloudy sky right now. I made the supermarket run yesterday, so this afternoon I'll just take care of laundry and make a couple of phone calls. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Don Carlos smooth bent Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's still 45°, misty with a cloudy sky, and very damp here at dawn. Currently smoking a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Don Carlos while slowly sipping my coffee. Time to check the headline news.
