I have several tins of OGS with plenty of age. I think it is better when fresh, age really mutes the haylike flavor that defines this blend.
I had a tin with 6 years of age on it before I gave it to Ron Powell for his birthday. Just before he gave up smoking and got rid of it.

I screwed up yesterday and smoked the Rum Vanilla Flake right out of the tin. It was too wet and I have awful tongue bite. My own fault.

Good evening all. I’m smoking a bowl of Spillman Mixture in a Loewe and Co. billiard. It’s pretty mild and cloudy around these parts today. Good dog walking weather. Take care.

Lagonda in a B-C Supermate similar enough to a Sav. 626 that it could be popular in Ireland:

Blasted Cornell & Diehl and their tasty marketing. I’m now the owner of 3 pounds of Palmetto Balkan. One pound of the new release with the new Turkish Latakia. I’ve yet to open a tin of From Beyond with Turkish Latakia but been meaning to get to it.
I’m smoking 2021 SG Hansom Flake in a John Cotton belge. Rough couple weeks. I need a year vacation.

2007 GL Pease Embarcadero in my pete jr bulldog. I am enjoying this but I regret never having it fresh. This tin was a gift from a secret santa I was apart of.

Like most GLP and C&D Virginia blends, Embarcadero needs a minimum of 12 months of age to properly open up and meld. I once popped a two months young tin of this blend, jarred it, and smoked a bowl every couple months.

Busy day today. Decided to change up what I’ve been smoking. I’m smoking C&D Steamworks in a vintage Stanwell HCA.

Good Wednesday morning to all of the Patch, well, we're expecting a 'weather bomb' to hit the Irish North West around lunchtime here, it's already making itself known. 😯 Starting the day with some Dunhill Flake in the Derry 03, hope you all have a good one, n' happy smokes!

Good Morning! It's 44° here with a cloudy sky and everything is wet from overnight rain. It seems that moisture has seeped into the GFCI for the workshop power that's mounted on the deck. Just after I lit my pipe, it tripped and I can't get it to reset, so I'll try it again later on this morning. Might need a new gasket on the cover. In the meantime, I used the flashlight feature on my phone to help me in cleaning yesterday's pipe. This afternoon I have to go mail out Janet's packages. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Peterson Rosslare 106 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Wednesday morning all. I’m fitting in a bowl of GLP Union Square in a Stanwell Rhodesian (POTY 2013). This is the 2nd pipe I bought after taking up the hobby in 2015, and not having any idea of what I was doing. It’s a good little pipe, so it’s true that the blind archer sometimes hits his target.
It’s a drizzly foggy morning here, and I don’t think this weather will lift anytime soon. I have a busy day ahead so thankful for a little calm and quiet to start off. I hope you all have a good day.
