Good afternoon, I just sat down with a bowl of 8 State Burley in a Savinelli billiard. Near perfect today on the water, albeit a bit breezy. I had a good busy weekend, but didnβt have much of a chance to fit in pipe time, so itβs nice to have a break. I hope you all enjoy your day!

LBF in the just-arrived Comoy's Guildhall billiard. It's about a Group 4 size, wonderfully light, and has the birdseye on front and rear that you'd expect to find with the crossgrain you can see in the pic:

Now having some OGS in the also just-arrived Duncan Double Grain apple. It doesn't show up very well to my eyes in the pics, but this one has really nice birdseye on both sides:

I've been doing some digging, but not finding all that much. Interesting article on the company's history and some of their innovations at Pipedia, but nothing there about their grades or lines or what "Double Grain" means. Couple of YT videos about them, but not a ton of info about them in those. Anybody know anything?

So many fancy pipes on here lately, it encouraged me to pull out my Joura, in which I am smoking Stonehaven.

That's in the Pipedia article. The owner had the idea in his head for several years. When he had to get dentures, he decided it was time to work out the details.

After-dinner smoke was a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob. Working on a bowl of OGS in a self-made "55" now.

The dark eyes in his profile pic are uncanny, and the bamboo seals the deal.
