Came to realize that I need a few more underpants. Time and wear has taken a toll on the old fabrics and I would hate to be seen in public wearing tatters, not that I parade about in my underwear. However, I am at an age when a sudden visit to the ER is possible or I am hauled into the Hoosegow for charges. Anyway, I want to look my best in any event.
So, I ordered three from Carhart believing thems folks produce a quality product as usual. Never been disappointed with Carhartt. $74 for three! Now, these are the only ones available in my Jumbo size. Some kind of quilted front polyester product guaranteed to not split, fade, smell, or retain bodily fluids. Just what is needed for a leaky old man. With tax and shipping $25 each seems kind of expensive but no more than what other quality makers offer. As with most everything else, it is hard to believe the prices nowadays.

That does seem like a lot for undies, John. I guess it's for the extra durability, etc.

Also, inflating one's underpants is often the result of diet.

I think the last pack of fruit of the loom I bought was like 15 for 3. The FOLs I bought years ago have held up fine. You probably do not remember the Godfrey Cambridge add for FOL back in the 1960s. "Who said underwear has to be white?"

I usually wear Mack Weldon underwear and they run about $30-$40 a pair but they are damn comfortable.

I go to Ross and get nice, designer brand underwear for cheap. I especially like Tommy Hilfiger. I get why they keep putting the stupid flaps on the front of the briefs. I haven't been able to fit through that flap since I was 10. 😜

Fartypants had a charcoal filter disc that slid into the region of Uranus, but that took the fun from the donor, and rewards to recipients.

Nobody knows. Russ mailed a card to Ed's home address about a week or 10 days ago, hoping it would get forwarded to him in the nursing home. We were hoping Russ might also get some kind of response. No word so far.
It's morbid, I know, but, lacking any other way to check in on him, I've been keeping an eye on his local obits. He hasn't been there.

Plus they have a button fly instead of a zipper. Take a walk on the wild side. After the discussion yesterday, I am wearing my 501s at this moment. 😁
