So, a few years ago hubby and I started experimenting with alcoholic beverages (for more info on that feel free to post a question on my thread "Help me reach a goal" in General Discussion, lol) and we bought a bottle of Maple Crown Royal. Well, that was a dud for us (it's still in the cupboard) but I got a great looking bag, and the other day i decided it would be great for carrying around pouches of tobacco. On ebay I found a purple camo one, which I had to have.
quite handy for toting tobacco!
for our anniversary we bought a patio fire pit, we'd been wanting one for several years. After getting it we spent several evenings sitting out around it and it was a great time to smoke a pipe. I was having a probably taking all my stuff out with me, though. That is where I came up with the idea of putting the tobacco in the Crown Royal bag. On amazon I found some very economical 2-pipe pouches and I ordered two -- one black and one brown.
So I'm all set for evenings around the fire -- the pipe pouce carries my pipes, lighter and tamper. However, it's been about two weeks since we've gotten to use the fire pit. We went to the cabin a couple weeks ago and then last weekend hubby helped a friend install a new water heater in a house, and it was a MESS, it took all weekend. And since then it's been raining Someday we'll get out there again. *sigh*

When I was in nursing school my blood pressure cuff and stethoscope came in a very sharp hunter green case. I liked the case so much I bought a cheap case for the blood pressure stuff and used the hunter green case as a travel bag for pipes and tobacco. One night at work my cigar smoking MD friend was doing early rounds before he went to a seminar and grabbed the green case from the nursing station and went to do his rounds.A few minutes later he came back laughing and said a bagful of tobacco and pipes had to belong to me!
