First time smoking 2014 Peretti No. 8 Slice in a 2003 medium bend straight grain Viggo Nielsen sitter with a Cumberland-like lucite stem. How is that 2014 No. 8 Slice JimInks ?? I liked it, but need to smoke more before I can really give you an answer. Just finished work and am now smoking House Of Calabash Seven of Nine in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret billiard, signed by Dorelio Rovera and a black acrylic stem. Have enough left for about half a bowl.

I really like this blend (maybe this or Cuban Mixture being my favorites by Peretti), but mine is only about 6 months old, so I am interested in a 3+ year old smoke of it. I have a jar of 2 year old No. 8 Slice, but I am going to let it "stew" a little longer before opening it up.

Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen from Greece, hot day here in Athens with 35°C so a visit in a Cafe for some relaxation under the shadow was a "must".

Now, continuing the Boswell theme, Pipers Pleasure in the @basil Meadows "AppleJack". This pipe is a cross between an Apple and a Brandy shape leading more to the Apple with a slightly tapered stem. It has a real Ox Horn inlay and a hand cut tortise shell stem. It is a real pleasure to smoke this pipe.

First smoke of the day (got a late start) Orlik's GS in my MM Bent RobRoy with the ubiquitous square shank, circa 1980's. I did restain it with Fiebing's Black, then sanded the finish to give it some contrast.

I just finished a bowl of my own blend (60% latakia 30% dark burley and 10% bright Virginia and a spoon full of anise seed) in a Ropp Vintage Sandblast long shanked billiard. I guess it's true what is said about old briar, older smokes better. This new pipe made with old briar smokes pretty good.
