It's been a busy and distracting morning. 2 pm is rather late for my first pipe of the day. I have put some Low Country Strawberry in to the canary yellow Al Pascia Curvy nosewarmer. That and a huge mug of coffee are starting to mellow out the afternoon.

After finishing a bowl of Amphora Virginia, the promised storm hit; London Mixture in the Falcon seems a good match for the weather.

Stepping out for a smoke of the re-released G.L. Pease Stonehenge Flake. Just a little disappointed to tell you all that this is GH & Co. Louisiana Perique Flake tinned and called "Stonehenge." A little back story. Gawith Hoggarth went and made Louisiana Flake after all the glowing reviews and reception of the Stonehenge Flake in 2001. Fast forward to this re-release and it's a dead ringer, as if they just stuffed their current production Louisiana Flake right into these tins. It's great tobacco, but's $60 for 17 ounce/ 500 gram factory bags here in the US so may as well just buy a bag of that.
Now, I haven't smoked enough of it yet and i will side by side smoke them tonight, but Im familiar with the blend and this is LPF..
It's in a Savinelli 904KS unfinished with yellow stem.

Part way through this bowl of Watch City Flake #558 in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. I love the tobacco, but I love the pipe more. Suzy and Molly are sitting on the window sill chattering at the birds in the back yard.

I have my mixture in an old Parker bent billiard, it's older than just-ol-ed. My mixture is 60% latakia, 30% dark burley and 10% bright Virginia. Then I put a spoonful of anise seed in and mix it all up.
