Almost half way through this bowl of Jim's Va/Bur in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem. Work is done for the day, the cats are fed, and I'm watching Gunsmoke.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh in a medium bend 2002 MM Legend cob with a black stem. This will be my last smoke of the day.

Smoking both pipes pipes at once lighting both bowls up with one match. Few puffs of Stonehenge, few pu.s of LPF. Very little discernible difference in underlying tobaccos. The differences lie in how very fresh the Stonehenge is in comparison to this one year old LPF, and the Malawi burley in Stonehenge is adding more depth and more chocolate note. Had they both a year of age I doubt a person could tell the difference and could pass one for the other. Both great, and my verdict is that Stonehenge gets a tad bump in flavor depth and mouth feel strength of the smoke with additional chocolate in this batch of top noting. Perhaps yet another example of masquerade marketing to create demand. Would be interested in a side by side comparison between the 2001 Stonehenge and the GLP faux release. Very disappointed that I leaped at the hype with my open wallet.

Stormy hit here like a freight train smashing a field mouse on a rail. Shook the Creaky Bones Lodge, from the rafters to foundation. Guess he got P.O.'ed when I didn't carry on with burleys in a cob. So hedging my bets, it is Granger in a MM Danish Egg. 😆 ⚡️⚡️👍 Morning TBP Sir W. R. In a invecta bent bulldog. Community coffee, neat.

Yardwork day, so been smoking MM Legend's with bent orange plastic stems and finished my jar of PA/OJK mix. Need to mix up some CM/OJK, which is my preferred Mixture for yardwork and puttering around, when I don't have to think, lite it up and go. I do have an un-opened tub of Prince Andrew I will crack and see if I like it better than Prince Albert. If not look for it in the trade section. Albert isn't bad, but for my codger burley, prefer Chantham Manor which I am well stocked on from a sale last year. As well as plain OJK.

Soon to light the second bowl of tobacco. The first was some C&D Crooner in a "Kent" English made bent billiard with a 4 mm silver band. I believe I got this pipe in 2001. I paid all of $20 for it new (plus shipping). It's a good smoker too boot. Next will be more Low Country Natural Va. and Burley in a Peterson: Silver Mounted Sherlock Army (01) Fishtail. I think it's a good looking and good smoking pipe. Had to have it!

Part way through this bow of 2014 Peretti No. 8 Slice in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite stem. A bottle of Cheerwine is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo. Suzy pooped out after being chased around the house by Molly, so she's snoozin' while Molly's watching the birds in the back yard.

I have just lit some C&D's Black Cavendish, the unflavored stuff. I have it in a Peterson Kapp Royal XL02, bent apple. Not being a varnished pipe it has darkened with smoking and handling. Still looks good, smokes well and is comfortable to smoke.
