Finally got an accepted offer on a house, now to find an inspector... Congrats man. We went under contract on Tuesday. Home inspection and sewer line inspection scheduled for next Tues. Once that is complete, it will be hurry up and wait for our closing date on June 14th. Now I understand why many people only buy one house in their life... it's a pain in the arse. Morning all. Corned Beef and cabbage and Ruebens for dinner last night. Usually only have it once a year, but one of my favorite meals. Was in bed early. Between the food, being up early and the 6 hour drive, it makes for a long day. Some work to do today and then dinner out with the family. Fun weekend planned. No pipes since I can't smoke in Moms house. Sometimes she will let me get away with it in the kitchen with the window open but usually when it's cold out.

Thanks Justin. Now the buyer's anxiety is setting and I am starting to question my decision already. It is gonna be a long few weeks. I know the feeling. I love the house, but there are so many unknowns at this point. It seems like every time I turn around, there is someone else with their hand out looking for money. Welcome to home ownership. If your agent did you justice, there should be many contingencies built into your contract. For example, in our contract it states that if we cannot find homeowners insurance that fits reasonably into our budget, we can get out of the contract. It's all about protecting yourself.
