Smoking C&D Burley Flake #1 in an MM General. This stuff is stupendous. My favorite blend or mixture type overall has got to be strong burley forward,Virginia, and Perique. Haunted Bookshop being one of my absolute favorite tobaccos, Old Joe Krantz, and this Burley Flake #1 fits right there with those two blends but different shades of component leaf. The #1 is dark Burley forward, red VA, then Perique and has a decent amount of it. In general I just love C&D Burley. Nobody makes a good American Burley forward tobacco like they do.

Rattray's: Dark Fragrant in a Posella sandblasted Horn. Iced tea in the tumbler. It is hot here and the air is still and extended forecast is high 90's to top 100 F. The dog days have sidled in after a lulling and temperate June. Hot or cold, I pipe away.

So far we are living as well as we did when I was working, but without the work. I highly recommend it. We had Greek coffee for the first time on our first date, 40 years ago. Houston is an international city. You want it, we got it. Including some things that I couldn't even watch you eat. Just finished a bowl of P&W #191 in a 1950,(birth year) Dunhill Root Briar lovat that was gifted to me by a friend on another forum. One that is only slightly more generous than Tsal. Great friends make for a better retirement. I may light up some of the Special Latakia Flake later just to mess with Jim, cause he doesn't have any! Awww, go fry a friendly egg! Awww, my first JimInks order of eggs, ever! I feel like I have arrived! Would you like that over easy or sunny side up?

Listing this early so that I can concentrate on work for a while: Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 Peretti's M.T. Natural made in Holland straight smooth brown Algerian briar billiard.

A busy, productive day helping a friend in need. Only time for three bowls in the Falcon, and they were all Mahogany.
Now that things have settled down, feet are up and I'm burning more of the same. And counting my blessings...

Things took a strange turn towards aromaticville. First I had some hs-3 in a luciano from the chicago slow smoke three years back, then since Mcclelland baklava in an older Grabow apple w/chess piece stinger. I smoked these while watching the movie "Inferno". Honestly the first movie in the series was the best but this was pretty close. Worth a watch, for sure. Good night folks!

Work is done for the day, and I'm relaxing with a bowl of Boswell Magnum Blend in a 1978 slight bend CAO Turk's Head Meer with a yellow acrylic stem. Molly's busy chasing a house fly, and just did a 180 turn in the air as she missed it again.
