So, to break up the monotony I went out to the local B&M and sat in the smoking lounge for awhile with the fellas. Charlie, the propriator, was there so I took him a couple samples -- D&R Raccoon's Delight and London Dock. He liked the C&D Gentleman Caller I gave him a few weeks ago. Got to show off my Savinellis and smoked about 5 different pipes. Left at about 2:45 pm and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Next time I think I need to pack a lunch, lol. So now I'm going to clean my briars and make plans for Thursday  |

I was actually surprised to discover it in my town. Even though we are a captial city, Charleston is kind of behind the times and not "big cityish" at all. I don't mind not being big cityish, but that also meant I had my doubts about having a quality tobacco store. I lucked out!

It is. I'm not used to going without hubby, so I made sure to go on a day when Charlie, the owner, was there. I know him pretty well by now. A little bit different crowd than the one at pipe club, but that is okay. Once I get to know the regulars I will probably be there a little more often. I have Charlie's schedule now so i'll know when to pop in

I am extremely fortunate to have 3 of the same owned real B&Ms in my hometown here. Unfortunately since I've moved back to Fort Wayne, I haven't went more than once or twice the past few months and need to remedy that. Just been so busy with work and family time.
Really good place for us pipers to get away and hang out at the smoking lounge.

We have a nice lounge like that as well here. Well had, they remodeled and painted. It is now a "sponsored" lounge by a cigar company. Will be there for a few minutes Monday (can't stay for the meeting) and will see what it looks like. It was comfortable with lots of leather chairs and couches. Have seen photos of new place and it is different but don't know if good or bad yet. The color scheme doesn't fit my style now but will hold off my opinion until I see in person.
