And it’s pouring like a sumbitch
One of the best investments I made for my house was a retractable awning for the back patio. 99% of the time, even when it's windy rain it can be used, as we are a row house sandwiched between two others.
I’ve got a covered porch but unfortunately when it rains and gets humid, I find my cigars smoke like crap

Had me a Brick House this morning out back on the bulkhead rated a 93 and well worth the coin. At 4-5 bucks a stick a must try. Maduro is about a buck more.

back from 2-miles power walks very early (6:30ish) to beat the promised mega-heat. Company of no-band 5x50, med. strength, darker brown wrapper but nowhere near maduro. sending wishes to those affected....try & stay cool (we plan on it)

Smoked a Partagas Cifuentes on porch this morning while watching crop duster spray my cane field. Humid and sticky, smoke was good weather was not.

I've been out of cigars for a long, long time. I'm looking at ordering a stock of Macanudo Maduro Ascot Tins. The last cigars I smoked were Macanudo, and I remember liking them pretty good. Any feedback on these?

They have a newer cigar out called the Café a real nice smoke without being to strong. Our very own Sparks is on a journey to find the best small cigar.

A Asylum Schizo natural out back before it heats up. I like the band very creative.

Had a Cohiba Pequeno last night. Found a tin at a smoke shop on the way to my cousins house. Good little cigar. Will be worth a box for sure.

Any feedback on these? Macs were always too mild for me by it doesn’t mean they aren’t good. If you like that particular size and a mild stick, go for it. What other cigars/sizes have you enjoyed?

It's been a long, long time, but they were Macanudos (I don't know which ones exactly) and they were quite large. I've also enjoyed some Romeo y Juliette. They were large ones too. They were given to me from time to time by the mayor of a tiny village in remote Alaska where I was the LEO. He was a big guy, and liked big cigars. I did not like the size, but I enjoyed the flavor of them.

I don't have a connection for Intermountain Airways and my friend Ollie is not answering his phone. So I suppose I am in the dark on Cuban Bolivar. The best over all cigar I have ever smoked was a Cuban Trinidad that had speckles of green stuff mixed in.

Had a little R&J petite corona from a tin I bought. Not bad flavor, but the two I have had out of this tim have been the worst constructed cigars ever. Squishy in some spots, firm in others. Disappointing.

Smoked Montecristos at the wrestling matches on Friday. Paired well with pickled pig skin with lime juice.

To darn hot to smoke it was 98 today in the swamp. My order from CI is still coming via pack roaches someone has to explain why it takes ten days to get here. The good news when their order show up it is like Christmas because I forgot I even ordered them by the time they reach the swamp.

Porch was pleasant, got up early, Son left for his orientation at local hospital for his surgery tech job, Buddy was antsy so I let him out, coffee in hand and a Famous VE Churchill we watched the fields glisten, spider webs galore in the trees, red cardinal sweeping low, blue jay pecking on Crepe Myrtle branch. Local farmer checking his rice levees, rain and cool front coming our way, good to be alive.

Last night was a 5 Vegas Classic Corona from 2017. Great smoke, and the price point can't be beat. It was a little on the hot side to be smoking on the patio last night. Feels like was 98 at 10:30 PM. I muscled through it though.

smoked a few Man o War Ruination cigars on the hot porch over the weekend. I did put out a water cooler and cups on the front porch steps for anyone that needed a drink that walked past..a decent amount of people did grab some water..the best part was watching the people getting a cup for their dog that they were walking..

Good on you Mike, I have a faucet under the live oak, I put a big pan under it and let the faucet drip ever so slightly, pan stays full, cats and Buddy snorkel the water, well Buddy does, the cats sip. Again that is a very nice thing for you to do, good heart you have. Oh smoked a Nub Madero, nice little thing, 60 guage like smoking a tree branch but good flavor, draw.

Almost daylight and momma is working from home laid a Padron Londres Maduro. Just waiting for my dog to wake up so we can go out back. I think she is sleeping in after supervising me while I put on some new style truck mirrors and wired in the clearance lights to work.

Went out for some drinks last night to one of the few bars you can still smoke at in Philly. Stopped at a local shop around the corner and picked up a Liga Privada #9 toro. Not a bad cigar. Full bodied for sure, but the burn on it was horrible. Knowing how much care they take in making these cigars, I suspect it had more to do with storage at the shop than production.
I had checked out about 4 other cigars in their humidors that had caps as hard as a rock. They need to do a little work on their humidification system.

Agreed. I will have to grab another one (from Holts next time) and also in my preferred size, as the toro is not typically it.
