Oliva Saison with a Paradox Brewing Company Robusto Maduro on the side. The cigar is fairly decent while the beer is fantastic and a great tobacco companion. Slightly smokey, a little malty, and tart and funky.

Rolled a few "quick sticks", as I call them, last night. These were Dominican filler (Piloto Cubano Seco and Ligero) in Besuki binder / wrappers:  Creamy smoke with lots of leather and spice / pepper at the start, dark currant / cocoa and hints of cedar as it smoked down. Fairly even burn and tight ash all the way down:  |

Had my first smoke in a while yesterday - a Villiger Export. Yes, one of those little rectangular Swiss dry-cured things.... I know this will barely count as a cigar for some people, but I was surprised at good it was! Maybe it's just because it's been so long since I had a cigar. They're advertised in Europe as being made with Cuban tobacco, and I'd believe it.
