Not just fry, but baste it in bacon grease! That's the shite! Mom always had a small crock on the stove she put bacon grease in when she was fryin it to save for later. Lard crust for the pies to... You got it. Scald the top. 32 years and I can't get Xuan to do it

That is the James beard method for frying an egg. I just flip the eggs over easy in the bacon fat. PS Luxury Bullseye Flake in a Don Roberto Lancelot Canadian. Whole Wheat bread dough on the rise for tomorrows breakfast rolls.

Some Paul's Pipe Shop Arrowhead club mixture in an MM Country Gent. Itching to pop more tins but I have more than 10 open that need to be jarred or finished. I say this now and then I'll end up popping two tins by tomorrow evening. 😂

McC Red and Black in a Sherlock Holmes Smooth Squire. This really is a great blend that does not get a lot of chatter. Has to be in my top 3!

I guess I deserve that after receiving so many pipes from you and a couple others over the past couple years. I did buy a Falcon in April, though! You forgot to mention that I'm also smoking an Aromatic, Mike. I don't know what's going on!

What a good time last night on the Crown Plaza patio. There is good and bad news from last night. For the bad news, cannot believe I missed Lady Margaret, and knowing she would be there was part of the reason I went. For the good news, what a great group of people I got to share the evening with, absolutely laughed my arse off listening to Basil Meadows stories! A special thanks to jiminks for frying eggs for the group. Thank you Gentleman for a very pleasant evening. Only 4 1/2 hours sleep, woke this morning to a cup of joe and a Great Dane Spool filled with #79. Happy Saturday all....
I was very disappointed to have missed you! Next year I will know to plan better

I'm drying out a batch of Daughters & Ryan Acadian Bright Perique and it smells so mouth watering in the entire room. Smells like fermented apricots and a sour wine or cider smell. It's literally drawing fruit flies to it! Jeremy Reeves and I tried to smoke some last night as neither of us have had it and it smells so incredible, but it just wouldnt dry out in the 20-30 minutes we gave it. About to smoke some in the brand new Country Gent and take a photo of the stash I walked away with last night. This morning now I can't believe I paid $18 for 4 ounces of Paul's Pipe Shop Arrowhead. I gave a 1.5 ounce bag to serenity because he loves the stuff.
I bought the last two tubs this afternoon! Got back and too tired to sit out, but I see myself trying it tomorrow evening -- will let it dry out tomorrow afternoon. JohnL also talked me into getting some Arrowhead, lol!

Make sure you dry the Acadian Bright until it's feeling crispy, the stuff is sopping wet. Once you open a tub you'll need to sit the whole tub out to dry as well or you'll end up with a tub full of mold a few weeks down the road with the rate you smoke it. Mark doesn't put any antimicrobial or anything in his tobaccos so this is a must. I'm going to dry my whole open tub tomorrow.
