Those pepper packets you get with pizza are the perfect size to spice up a lb of beef with addons. Now sweet potatoes need nothing other than butter maybe a pinch of salt. When you cook you make windows of flavor. Ex caramelized onions but also add some not caramelized later in the cooking process. The same can be done with garlic and other things like bell peppers. Noodles wait one minute then two minutes instead of all at once. This adds more textures to explore and enhances a dish

We're going to Fredericksburg and San Antonio for Easter and we will be eating German and Mexican food all weekend. And beer and wine. I enjoyed both those towns and would love to go back there again.

I was in Santa Fe today, More medical stuff. So, an early dinner at an Eye-talian place. Veal Piccata with capers, sauteed vegetables, spaghetti marinara, canoli. Molto bene! What a treat. Long time since I ate like that.

When I was a bit younger and on the go I had a voracious appetite similar and stayed in shape. Your outstanding one meal you enjoyed last night would take me about 5 days to consume. Good for you brother, enjoy when your still fairly young.

In town picking up prescription medication. So, a stop at my favorite Mexican joint filled with my favorite genuine Mexicans. Pork Tacos with guacamole, refritos and rice, salsa, lime wedges, and steamed Jalapenos. I like to slice them open, scoop out the seeds and veins, drizzle with lime juice, sprinkle with salt, cut with a knife and eat with a fork.

I was at the market today and almost bought a bottle of Mogan David Concord Grape Wine in the hopes that I might be invited to a sedar tonight or tomorrow. Being of little faith, I did not and was not so invited.
For all who are "Happy Pesach" and Sholom Aleichem.
On another front, along the highway to and from town were many Christian pilgrims on their journey to sanctuarios. One man, accompanied by a young boy was carrying a large wooden cross, sufficient size for crucifixion. A Penitente on his pilgrimage.
